How to Reset Octopus Intelligence

If your charger is connected to Octopus Inteligence and having issues that a simple restart isn't resolving, removing and readding octopus is the next step.

  1. Open the Octopus Energy app and go to Intelligent Octopus.
  2. Select Manage Connection.
  3. Tap Disconnect Vehicle/Charge Point.
  4. Restart your car or charge point app, then reconnect through the Octopus setup process.
  5. Ensure your car is selected if it’s a compatible model.

The below will also need to be performed (if possible) before establishing the next troubleshooting steps.

This restores local control as well as clearing any connections to energy tarrifs that may be causing issues.

Steps:

  1. Stand next to your charger and ensure that you are connected via bluetooth.
  2. Open up the settings and scroll down to advanced settings
  3. Read and accept the warning message
  4. Under OCPP select "remove OCPP settings and restart charge point"
  5. Once this has performed check if the charger now functions correctly
  6. Remove the charger from Octopus App by opening devices and clicking "remove"
