Charge your EV using surplus solar energy. The energy manager monitors property export and lets the charger use sustained excess for efficient, safe charging.
Summary:
Simpson & Partners chargers can charge from solar using grid/property data from wired or wireless energy manager. The charger detects property export and uses surplus to charge the EV.
How It Works:
Energy manager monitors grid/property usage
Charger detects export: >1.4 kW sustained for 5 minutes → begins charging
Grid top-up optional; can charge only on solar
Prevents relay damage by using sustained surplus only
Installation Notes:
Charger installation is same as wired/wireless setup
Solar inverter provides excess energy to the property; no direct connection to charger
Works with battery integration if installed
