Wireless energy managers are an optional extra that can be added to the Plus series of chargers. These are perfect for installations that have a long cable run back to the distribution cabinet or a complicated run through many walls. This means that you don’t need to run an additional cable to carry the signal wires.
To set up you will need the wireless energy manager puck. If you turn it on and hold next to the charger.
Next you will need to configure within the Simpson and partners app.
1. Open the App
2. Ensure you are close to the charger and connected via Bluetooth
3. Open the installers section of the app
4. Enter your pin 880088
5. Select your charger
6. Scroll down to “smart home setup”
7. Select “wireless energy manager” and click pair
8. Press the pair button on the back of the charger and a blue light should appear
9. The device should appear for you to connect to
10. Once paired you need to take the puck back to the main distribution cabinet and wire in the CT and antenna wire.
11. The CT needs to connect around Live and the white antenna wire needs to be cable tied along live (it reads direction of current)
12. Ensure the CT colour matches your supplied unit
13. You should see a reading of your properties usage.
Setting up Home load balancing
1. Open Home load balancing
2. Enable dynamic fuse (if you want to downrate the charge based on property usage)
3. Set your home fuse rating to that of your property
4. Fail safe rating is the rating that will default to if connection to the CT is lost.
Close the installer app, setup is complete
