Summary:
The wired energy manager monitors grid and property electricity usage to provide dynamic load balancing. It connects to the charger via RS485 (just one twisted pair). App or usage data is separate and travels via Bluetooth, Ethernet, or WiFi.
How It Works:
- Grid/property load data → measured by CT clamp, sent over RS485 to charger
- App usage / charge history → sent separately via Bluetooth, WiFi, or Ethernet
- Charger uses grid data for load balancing and dynamic fuse management
- App data is for monitoring/reporting only
Installation Steps:
- Isolate supply
- Install CT clamp on live meter tail (arrow points toward house)
- Connect CT to energy manager
- In charger, connect Wago blocks → RS485 connector (1 twisted pair only)
- Power system
- On charger: go to Installation Menu → Smart Home Setup → Add Wired Energy Manager
- Verify readings appear
- Enable Dynamic Fuse and set Fuse Limit
