Father’s Day. Today could of been so different..

18 June 2023

Today is the happiest Father’s Day of my life! Exactly one year ago, my 8-year-old daughter Mae had a brain haemorrhage and a massive stroke. It was a terrifying and traumatic experience for our whole family. But thanks to the amazing skills of the Avon air ambulance and the neurosurgery team at Bristol Children’s Hospital, Mae survived and is recovering.
She is here today to wish me a happy Father’s Day, and I couldn’t be more grateful and proud. I cherish the card that Mae and Jack made for me.
I believe that life’s experiences shape our personal and business lives. I hope that Mae’s ordeal has made me a better person, both at home and at work. I love leading the Simpson & Partners business, which takes up a lot of my time and energy. But I also know how important it is to find the right balance between business and family.
So to all those fathers who are running their own businesses and trying to juggle their responsibilities, I salute you!!
