All S&P Business Series EV chargers are OCPP compliant.
But what is OCPP compliance?
OCPP stands for Open Charge Point Protocol. It’s a great open standard protocol used in the electric vehicle (EV) industry. OCCP facilitates the communication between charging stations (also known as Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment or EVSE) and network operators or central management systems.
Open Standard: OCPP is an open standard, which means it’s free for anyone to use and implement. OCPP is essentially software and plays a vital behind the scenes role in the development of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure. It promotes openness, interoperability, and encourages collaboration and innovation within the EV industry. Basically, it’s like the glue that helps all the charging stations and networks chat with each other effortlessly. It act as like a universal translator for chargers, making sure they all speak the same language, making EV’s more accessible for all.
All S&P Business Series EV chargers are OCPP compliant. S&P chargers are operationally integrated with trusted EV charging platforms such as Tap, Fuuse and Clenergy.
Models include: Business Series Freestanding (single socket and dual socket) 7kW, 22kW and Business Series Wall Mount (single socket) 7kW, 22kW. Home Series Wall mount (7kW and 22kW), Home Series Freestanding (22kw).

Yes. The UK government Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) have created many types of grants.
The rules often change so it’s good to talk to your electrician or check on the government website for the latest information and how make the grants work for you.
Broadly speaking, Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) offers grants for Electric Vehicle (EV) chargepoints. These grants are available to businesses, charities, public sector organisations and small accommodation businesses. The WCS provides grants to eligible companies of up to 75% of the full EV charge point purchase and installation (inclusive of VAT). It is a voucher-based scheme, limited to £350 per chargepoint socket and a maximum of 40 sockets across multiple workplace locations.
• The EV infrastructure grant for staff and fleets, helps small and medium sized businesses (with less than 249 employees) install the infrastructure needed for multiple chargepoint sockets. Grants cover up to £500 per parking space enabled with supporting infrastructure and an additional £350 per charge point socket installed The grant is capped at £15,000, per building or 75% of costs and you can apply for up to 5. There are numerous eligibility criteria to meet, so it’s recommended to review the rules on the Government’s website.
Yes. For landlords who wish to install EV chargers into their own car park, there are grants that help with money towards the cost of the charger and money towards the cost of installing the infrastructure.
Electric vehicle (EV) chargepoint grant gives you money off the cost of installing an electric vehicle charge point socket. You can get 75% off the cost to buy and install a socket, up to a maximum of £350 per socket. Commercial landlords can apply for up to 100 grants per year. Residential landlords may be eligible for up to 200 grants per year.
Electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure grant gives you money off the cost of wider building and installation work that’s needed if you install multiple charge point sockets (ie multiple charging bays). This has been set up to encourage the uptake of electric charge points for those living in flats, rental accommodation, and apartment blocks and not available for commercial landlords. It’s best to check on the government website here and let your authorised OZEV installer assess the best way make the most of the grants available.
