Wall box injection mould

After 12 months of intensive development, it was very exciting today to receive the final pre-production injection mould parts for our EV Home Series wall box. To the untrained eye plastic parts are simple, however getting to this point takes a huge amount of a work. Tooling requires significant upfront investment. Extensive use of CAD and flow analysis modelling was needed to get things right first time, to avoid costly reworks.

Other than the tools themselves, we have paid special attention to the plastic used. Ensuring robust UV and UL resistance levels and fire resistance are just other little things that we are proud to get right.
